    It is hard to believe that

    The Living Rosary and
    May crowning were absolutely beautiful. What a wonderful way to honor our Blessed Mother. Don’t take the time to blink, parents, because it won’t be long before your precious little ones will soon be upon us. We have so much to accomplish. We understand thateighth graders leading us all in the childrenLiving Rosary.
    We
    are very busy with their spring sports. In addition,counting down to our last days of school and the excitementkids are anxious for summer and “The Carnival”summer. Carnival fever is very high. We are doing our best to keep the kids as focused as possible.
    Thursday, 5/17 is field day.
    Please remindmake sure your child that we have many things to learn and that focusingwears his/her tribe t-shirt on their school work andthis day.
    We will begin
    listening to teacher directions should be their main priority. There are just a few weeks leftthe student’s recite The Apostle’s Creed in class beginning the week of school and we want them to be productive ones. Many studentsMay 15 for those who are telling us that they have late night activities and doready. It must be memorized by Friday, May 18, if not before. We have timebeen reciting it as a class prayer. They seem to do their homework or study for tests.be confident and know the prayer very well.
    Poetry projects are due on Wednesday, May 16.
    We understand their excitement but we really need their attention in these last weeks beforelook forward to reading the summer fun begins.lovely creations. We have talked about this in class as well but remindershope the kids are working on this subject from home would be very helpful. We thank you for your supportand pacing themselves with this matter.

    is next Friday, 4/20.hard to believe that May will soon be upon us. We have so much more to learn before we say goodbyeaccomplish. We understand that the children are very busy with their spring sports. In addition, the excitement for the summer.summer and “The Carnival” is very high. Please knowremind your child that we are tryinghave many things to keep the kids as calm as possible even though they may havelearn and that focusing on their minds on other things.
    We have begun working on the poetry assignment in class full swing. The students will get much class time to complete these in addition
    school work and listening to teacher directions should be their home time. Wemain priority. There are not sending home the packets just yet because we need to introduce a couple more typesfew weeks left of poemsschool and we want them to the students. We will encourage thebe productive ones. Many students are telling us that they have late night activities and do not have time to begin takingdo their poetry work folders home next week. They will create 13 poems total and the instructions are inhomework or study for tests. We understand their poetry folders. We are also sending home a copyexcitement but we really need their attention in these last weeks before the Friday foldersummer fun begins. We have talked about this week and it is postedin class as well but reminders on our classroom wikis. This poetry assignment is due on Wednesday, May 16.
    Study guides for the Unit 4 Social Studies tests were given out
    this week and the students were given plenty of class time to complete. They will need to complete the study guidessubject from home would be very helpful. We thank you for our review days. 3A will review on Monday and 3B will review on Tuesday. The test is on Wednesday, 4/18 for both classes. Students will also take the Topic 11 Math testyour support with this Friday.

    Grandparent’s Day was a huge success and

    The 8th grade play is next Friday, 4/20. We have so much more to learn before
    we had a packed school this Friday. The event was very memorable and a special morning was had by all. The mass was a beautiful celebration during this glorious octave of Easter. Our senior friends enjoyed some refreshments, were entertained assay goodbye for the summer. Please know that we time warped throughare trying to keep the decades with sweet melodies of the times, andkids as calm as possible even though they even had time to visitmay have their minds on other things.
    We have begun working on
    the classrooms and enjoy some fun activities with their grandchildren.
    The students will be given information and a
    poetry packet next weekassignment in class during Writer’s Workshop. Wefull swing. The students will beginget much class time to go over allcomplete these in addition to their home time. We are not sending home the differentpackets just yet because we need to introduce a couple more types of poems in class with them. Class timeto the students. We will also be givenencourage the students to begin taking their poetry work on this project.folders home next week. They will create 13 poems total and the instructions are already familiar with Haiku and acrostic poems as we have written several of those poems this year. Thisin their poetry project is not due until Wednesday, May 16. Students will be given their ownfolders.     for the year. Isn’t that hardUnit 4 Social Studies tests were given out this week and the students were given plenty of class time to believe?
    Our third graders have one more Religion prayer
    complete. They will need to memorize before we give them back to youcomplete the study guides for the summer. The prayer is The Apostles Creed. Weour review days. 3A will be taking class time to workreview on this as wellMonday and 3B will review on Tuesday. The prayer is in their Religion book pg. 325. Ittest is on Wednesday, 4/18 for both classes. Students will also ontake the inside cover of their daily planners. They have until Friday, May 18 to memorizeTopic 11 Math test this prayer. Please encourage your child to work on the prayer. If you think that your child is ready to recite the prayer before May 18 please encourage them to tell us. We are happy to listen to them and it would be great to have this assignment off their plates, so to speak. We will encourage this from our end as well. Your cooperation with this is very much appreciated.Friday.
